GDPR GDPR procedures for Geofix customers What is the purpose of this information? To inform our customers about the new rules in GDPR and what their rights are. How we handle the information we store and what the data is used for. You can read more about GDPR at the end of this document. By offering consent under GDPR, customers must indicate that they accept that we have their contact information and that it is used for communication regarding orders and marketing via newsletters. Why does Geofix AB have a customer register? In order to process orders from our customers, we need to register certain information that makes our sales possible. This is the customer's name (company), contact person, delivery address, invoice address, telephone, email and labeling/labeling. We use this information to deliver and invoice and communicate with our customers regarding their order. We only collect personal/company data that is relevant to our commitment as a supplier. Our customer data is not used for any other purpose or purpose. Collecting data that may be good to have in the future or for security reasons is not consistent with our policy or the new data legislation. In that case, we must always have the customer's consent. By placing an order on our e-commerce site, the customer consents (approves) to our GDPR procedures. How does Geofix AB store its customer data? We do not store personal or company information for longer than necessary. Our customer register is also not sold to any other company. When it comes to storing customer data for invoicing, we follow the Swedish Tax Agency's rules that all accounting records must be saved for 7 years. Customers who have an account on our E-commerce site can choose to terminate and delete the information stored. Contact us and we will arrange this immediately. People should be able to withdraw their consent at any time. Everyone has the right to be forgotten. Our customers always have the option to unsubscribe from newsletters. That is, the Product of the Week. You can do this under your account - My Pages or with the link in the footer of the newsletter. If you have received a newsletter by mistake, please contact us and we will unsubscribe you. Who has access to Geofix AB's customer register? Only those employees at Geofix AB who need the customer information to be able to perform their work. We only disclose the customer's information to credit companies in connection with leasing and installment payments, to the shipping company that handles the delivery and to the customer themselves if they want to know what they have purchased previously. In rare cases, we share the customer's delivery details with one of our distributors for direct delivery to the customer. In such cases, we request that they not store this information. Our customers can request extracts of the information we store at any time. They also have the right to have their information promptly changed if something is incorrect. How is Geofix AB's customer register protected? Customer information in our customer register should not be stolen or at risk of being disclosed to unauthorized parties. We should not provide any personal information about the customer other than the contact information we need for our commitment. We protect our customer records through personal passwords on our computers, updated programs, antivirus protection, backups and in consultation with our IT provider. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swedish Data Protection Act replace the Personal Data Act (PUL) here in Sweden from the above date. What is the purpose of the law? GDPR is intended to strengthen individuals' rights over how companies, authorities and organizations may collect and use their personal data. Create a uniform and equivalent level of protection of personal data within the EU so that the free flow of data within the Union is not hindered. Modernize the rules of the Data Protection Directive from 1995 and adapt them to the new digital society.
