The Leica Rugby 640 is a fantastic construction laser for horizontal and vertical leveling and plumb points with a visible laser beam, which means you can use it indoors without a laser receiver. Out in the field, you work with the included Rod-Eye 160 laser receiver. With the Leica Rugby 640, you can add slope/tilt manually, in both the X and Y directions. You measure the desired slope yourself, which you set with the +/- buttons on the instrument. Another advantage of this rotation laser is that you can put the instrument down to get the rotation in the vertical plane, which is useful when setting up walls and more. The Leica Rugby 640 has more scanning modes, as the laser only provides marking in a certain sector and direction.
